The Housing Authority of the City of Camden

The Housing Authority of the City of Camden has been serving city residents since 1938, when its first development, Westfield Acres opened with 514 units to meet “household needs”. Today the Housing Authority of the City of Camden serves 7,000 residents annually. Our holdings have grown to include four family sites, three high-rises for seniors and the physically challenged, a homeownership development and another 13 privately managed properties and we are the proud recipients of three HOPE VI awards.

Our Five Year Plan

“HACC’s Five Year Plan echoes the voice of staff, residents and community, which is the approach I have been using to reflect the respect, acceptance and inclusion of a diverse community. Within the plan was included HACC’s mission statement to guide the activities of the HACC, which is the same as that of HUD and also including adopted goals and objectives that will help us accomplish our mission and vision.”
